Roger Penrose

Why I looked at this book

I've read quite a few of Penrose's books, and they're always of interest, so when this came out it went on to my list of books to read. In addition to that, I've read several books arguing that physics is getting speculative, and moving too far away from experimental results. This book seems to be in a similar vein. But Penrose is not one to go against speculative ideas, having put forward quite a few himself. I'm looking forward to seeing his arguments for why he considers his ideas to be reasonable, but others are just too far out.
