Why I looked at this book

This book tells of Nell Stroud's early years in the circus. Joining the circus doesn't seem like a good career move after an Oxford education, but she later became the owner of a circus, so maybe it wasn't so bad after all. I'm interested to see whether she always had ambitions to 'run the show'.
