Why I looked at this book

I read about the short story Those who walk away from Omelas which is included in this book, and I was interested in the idea. There's a rather silly concept called the Utility monster. This story seems to look at the opposite idea, which seems much more plausible. I'd found Le Guin's book The Dispossessed very interesting, so I thought I'd take a look at this collection.
